Richmond Hill -Sallie R. Barratta, 71, died Thursday, April 5, 2007 at home after a brief illness under the care of Hospice Savannah. She was born in Statesboro and has lived in Richmond Hill the past 49 years. She kept the nursery at St. Anne's Catholic Church for several years. She was preceded in death by her son Ormond D. Barratta. Survivors: husband of 54 years, Milton J. Barratta Sr., of Richmond Hill; children, Milton J. Barratta Jr., of Bloomingdale, Oneita Louise Barratta of Ft. Pierce, FL, Velinda Burnsed (Dennis) of Pooler, Nicholas A. Barratta (Lisa) of Ellabell, James L. Barratta of Pooler, Cecilia Stender (Scott) of Richmond Hill; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday, April 8, 2007 at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel.
