Mrs. Pollie E. Bryant, 92, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 16, 2006 at St. Joseph Hospital surrounded by family members. The Effingham County native lived in Guyton Georgia for many years and attended the public schools of Effingham County. She was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church of Guyton Georgia, where she served on the Usher Board for many years. Her husband, Jr. John Robert Bryant and four children, Henry Eugene Bryant, Simuel Bryant, James Lewis Bryant and Pollie Ann Grant preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Mr. John Odell (Margaret) Bryant of Camden, New Jersey. Four daughters, Mrs. Emma Diggs of Camden, New Jersey, Mrs. Ophelia Kent of Guyton, Georgia, Mrs. Nellie (Frank) Polk of Cleveland Heights Ohio, and Miss Mary Bryant of Savannah, Georgia. A special nephew, Mr. Willie Lee (Addie Mae) Hicklen of Guyton, Georgia; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, cousins and other relatives and friends. Visitation: 6-8 p.m., Friday, September 22 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 23, 2006 at 1 p.m. at the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church on Hwy. 17 in Guyton, Georgia. Smalls Funeral Home.
