Savannah -Mrs. Angela G. Singleton, 90 passed away February 26, 2007. Born to the late James and Emma Greene, Mrs. Singleton was a life long Savannah resident; she graduated from Beach-Cuyler High School and received a Bachelors degree from Savannah State College and a Masters degree from Armstrong- Savannah State University. Angela dedicated 32 years of her life teaching children at Thompkins, Haven and Isle of Hope Elementary Schools; she was a member of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority and a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Angela was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Leroy Singleton Sr. and a grandson, Kevin Chisholm. Survivors include three sons; Leroy (Pauline) Singleton Jr., Harold M. (Serdalia) Singleton, Walter W. (Cookie) Singleton all of Savannah; five daughters, Emily S. Chisholm and Carol S. Montgomery of Atlanta, Edith S. Hagins and Pearl S. Reddick of Savannah and Rosemary S. Whitson of Bowie M.D.; one brother, Johnnie Greene, fifteen grandchildren; Adoree, Allegra, Chuck, Erika-Joye, Julie, Kyra, LaTanya, Marc, Paul, Rachel, Rene', Sean, Shaina and Walter; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, many nephews, nieces and other relatives. Visitation : Friday, March 2nd from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Baker Funeral Home. Services : Saturday 12:00 noon at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Joseph Fields officiating.
