Long time area bail bondsman Joseph Roquemore (Aloysius) Von Waldner passed away Sunday November 12, 2006. Formerly from Winter Garden and Melbourne Beach, Florida Born in Savannah, Georgia in 1929, to Charles and Josephine Von Waldner. The youngest of four siblings. He was predeceased by his brothers, Eugene and Charles. Graduated from Benedictine Military School, class of 1947. Joe was raised on the family dairy farm and continued farming in Georgia and Virginia before moving to Orange County in 1967. He operated the K & S Restaurant in Winter Garden before becoming a bail bondsman, and moving to Orlando where he was in business since 1971, along with his youngest son Joseph K. who now owns and operates Joe Von Waldner Bonding. After his retirement in 1999, he moved to Melbourne Beach, where he and his loving wife Lynn spent many wonderful years. Illness required he return to Orlando to be near his devoted children. Affectionately known as "Buckie" by his friends, and as "Big D" by his children. Joe Von Waldner was a true southern gentleman, a wonderful husband and father. He was much admired and respected by everyone who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love and wisdom that will live on through his family. He will be missed forever and then some. His hallmark was his devotion to his wife of nearly 46 years and to always be there for his five wonderful children. To know him was to love him. Joseph was a Catholic. Von Waldner (Amanda), Tavares, Ashley Donofrio (Matthew), Ocoee, Ryan K. Zeigler, Orlando, Jennifer Swanson, (Chris), Ocoee, precious great grandchildren, Stephanie, Vanessa. Kenny, DJ, Jenna and Aiden. Sister, Mary Jo Whalen, Savannah, Georgia. Many nephews, nieces and dear friends. Burial will be private.
