Henry Cleveland Reddick (Jan. 10, 1887 - May 1, 1989). Pinecrest Cemetery & Mausoleum, Vidalia, Toombs County, Georgia, USA. Find A Grave Memorial# 42932397. CKB_46_10092009_410Wx307H.jpg

Son of Berry M. Reddick and Mary Cynthia A. Brinson. Husband of Callie Oliver Reddick.

Grandson of John Ivey Reddick and Sarah Oglesby Reddick.

According to descendants of John Ivey, "Great Grandfather John Ivey Reddick was the meanest and most good-for-nothing Reddick I ever heard of, yet he had a decent set of children - all good - likely because of the influence of their mother.

The oldest child, Henry Reddick, when asked why he never touched liquor said, "Because my father would sell the last chicken off of the place for a drink." After his wife, Sarah Oglesby Reddick, died the old man had then or soon after lost the place her father had given them when they married. They lived up north of Hiltonia. The Reddicks, including three of their sons and one daughter, settled in the Friendship and McBride communities northeast of Sylvania.
