The 'Tower of Hands' symbolises 'community' and the grouping of hands represents individuals coming together in a strong community. A public exhibition was held in the foyer of the Blackwood Asda store to obtain drawings of hands of the local residents. These were then scanned, cut out and incorporated into the artwork.

The 'Tower of Hands' is approximately 5m high and made from cor-ten steel which gives the artwork a weathered patinated finish.
