You know this is a great shot. I don't think you need any advice as you are doing just fine, but since you asked, I often set the esposure a few stops to UNDEREXPOSE and save this as the C on the mode selector. I edit with Elements and find there is much more detail to be pulled from underexposed using a light hand with BURNING, or the SHADOWS/HIGHIGHS enhancement. I really like PS Elements.
