I like this still life even without a poem. Feels like an old man's pocket. And like how it has all fallen to the bottom of the frame.

A very evocative image. The dates add a luxurious touch. The handkerchief for me is a very personal symbol of comfort. My dad always carries one and he used to give me on e of his as a child if I got upset.
