To DGM: he recovers the bike easy as I had tied Inflated Bike tube to the bike so it can float. Tied around the handlebars and top tube.Look between his legs and hands and you can just see them. Great idea of mine ... ah.

Ahh, I can relate to the youth here; we used to do the same thing (without life preserver) at a place we called the 'trestle.' Problem was getting the bikes back up from 25 feet of water.
