Staying at a friend's house for a few nights...this beautiful plant is in her kitchen...she's well known for killing plants, but has had great success with this one:)

and this one is a beauty. Lovely dark green aagainst the beige blinds makes the red

Lovely framing and wonderful composition.

I murder house plants too, I dont mean to they just wither and die, the plants at the garden centre hide now when I turn up.

Great pic, I hope she manages to keep this one going longer than I could :)

A very artistic image! These plants are tougher than they look - mine has survived happily for years.

Very nicely photographed (angle) Barbara. These flowers are so pretty, they do not look real. My Mother always called these "Little Boy Flowers"....probably never heard of an Anthurium.

Thanks for the comment Larry....sorry for the delay in acknowledging.....I can see why she might have called them by that name, much more poetic than 'anthurium' !

nice!
and I like your story about your friend.
Maybe I should give such plant a chance too? I'm known for killing most "in house" plants... nothing survives, well some cactuses sometimes...
Jan 27 2013 10:13 GMT bandsix
thanks Mirka...I think sometimes we kill our plants with kindness...like too much water and so on......spider plants (chlorophytum) are very easy to care for...and they look good too!
