Barbara, you just totally out did yourself with this photo. It's so pretty and the detail in the photo is so crisp. Nicely framed too!!! :-) Must can be said for presentation.

Larry, thank you....I think it is such a pretty flower, and one that is not often seen...apparently easily grown from seed annually...I may just risk an outlay on a pack of seeds for next year...though how it will cope with this climate I am not sure! Having said that, the flower here was in the RHS garden in Harrogate in Yorkshire...not noted for being a tropical hotspot!

Seeds aren't very expensive (generally), so why not at least plant some in a pot. While you were sleeping, I borrowed this photo for my home screen.

:)))
I am very flattered that you did! and I shall certainly be buying some seeds...they'd probably grow like weds in your neck of the woods

I've done my research on this flowering vine. As it turns out, it will grow like weeds where I live. It is native to Mexico. It likes full sun to part shade so I might find a space for it near one of my vine covered pine trees. It can use the other vines to attach to and climb. I've ordered seeds from Park Seed Company....we'll see how it does. I'll take pictures next year :-)
