This is going to be a bookcover in a few weeks or so (I hope!) It is made by using up old crocheted mats, old tablecloths and bits of discarded fabric that would otherwise have finished up as refuse....once dyed with procion dyes, machine stitched, beaded and generally messed about with it should look somewhat better than this!....

I was filling in time whilst my ginger cake was in the oven baking, Ruth.....smells really good, will be nice with some butter on...yum yum!!

It is quite time consuming Lie...all the pieces have to be hand stitched on before machining, and that's what takes the time...I much prefer it when I get to the machine stitching part!!

thanks charlotte....I'm hoping it will be better when it's dyed...that will make it a more cohesive piece (fingers crossed!!)
