Spain - Granada - The Alhambra
For Jacques, my eldest grandson, with whom I visited Granada and The Alhambra in spring 2007 in the rain pouring down... :)))

Almost the same picture as the one to the right, with a goldfish, but without people!!!
The Alhambra is on the Unesco World Heritage List, and a limited number of people is admitted during one day, but nevertheless it is hard to make pictures without tourists appearing on them... In between two of such flows of fresh visitors I managed to make a shot of this great palace and courtyard not yet invaded...
One of the breathtaking palaces in the Alhambra, mirroring itself in a pond aligned by meticulously cut hedges (de Myrthenhof in dutch).
On the first floor you can see (please look at it in original view and then click on enlarge) nice wooden fences in front of the windows, through which the ladies of the sultan's household could see without being seen... :)
