Spain - Torremolinos Carihuela
These are modern tiles, but they are in some way or another inspired by the old tiles designed by the Arabian/moorish artists as you can find them in Granada and Cordoba. Even the well known Dutch artist M.C. Escher was inspired by the original Arabian/moorish tile work.

You must not forget that in the Arabian/Islamic culture it is forbidden to picture Allah, Mohammed and/or people, that is why they decorated the walls of mosques and palaces with beautiful stylized characters and/or tiles with very complicated patterns.

thankyou Anna...we also saw great tile work at a exibition in America of tiling...
I cannot recall the country..... will just go back to those photo's and see if I can
refresh my mind... still ordinary develop photo's :-) those were the days my friend..:-)
