Two twin buildings: left the new ones in the so called nautical style and at the right the old ones with nice stepgables dating back to 1606. Around the corner you can find a gablestone representing an elephant.

Fortunately people have come to realize how precious this heritage is. A lot, however, was sacrificed already to modern times, especially with a view to the traffic!!!

I suppose in many towns people are now aware of the loss of beautiful old buiIdings and places.

In my opinion they have nevertheless made a rather good job to match old and new houses !! There are often more awful compositions !!
