FT-meeting in the lovely and intimate city of Zwolle.
Grote Kerkplein 15, Zwolle, prov. Overijssel, Holland.

At the top left: gothic 'old city hall' which is the last remaining part of the old city hall from 1448, of which three essential parts (community house, city wine house and council tower) were demolished. The new (1976) city hall (below) was built under the architecture of Ir. J. van Konijnenburg. In the old city hall we can still find a Council Hall and the so called Aldermen Hall, designed by Johan van Campen en Berend van Coblenz, with a.o. portraits of members of the House of Oranje-Nassau.

Het gotische 'oude raadhuis' is het laatste fragment van het oude stadhuis uit 1448, waarvan het Meentehuis, het Stadswijnhuis en de Raadstoren zijn gesloopt. Het nieuwe stadhuis (uit 1976) werd gebouwd onder architectuur van Ir. J. van Konijnenburg. Het oude stadhuis bevat nu nog de Raadzaal en de Schepenzaal, naar ontwerp van Mr. Johan van Campen en Berend van Coblenz, met o.a. portretten van het huis van Oranje Nassau.

At the top right of the picture (in front of the new part of the city hall) we can find a bronze statue of Adam made by Auguste Rodin (12 November 1840 – 17 November 1917). The statue was made by Rodin in 1881 and placed in Zwolle in 1965.
