The Haarlem Central Station is the only one in Holland in Art Nouveau or Jugendstil Style, and it is one of the most characteristic buildings in Haarlem. You wil find many tile paintings (tableaux) in the building.

For me it is very special because my dear grandfather, also worked on it during several years!!! The architect was: D.A.N Margadant. The station was finished in between 1906-1908. My grandfather, who was a master carpenter, was involved as a supervisor of the red wood work lavishly used in this station.
