The history goes back until 1558 when the house is first mentioned in official documents.
Manpad Estate 1630, reconstructed 1770, restauration 1954-1955.

Yes dear Midworlder the park/gardens around this estate are pretty large! Click on the link below to see the estate from the Leidsevaart side = the rear gable. The camera shortens the distance, but I can assure you the house is pretty far away from the point where I stood and made the picture:
