If you do not work and cannot get work you are NOT just garbage dear Baldvin. This is what they taught and told us, but it is NOT TRUE. It is pure manipulation. Please do not think about yourself in such a way. It is against human dignity. You are a unique person, never ever somebody will be born like you Baldvin! I suppose you have less money now. Believe me, it is nice to have money, but the value of a human being should not be related to the height of his bank account!!! Keep uur head up high, go outside when the weather is good enough and make pictures. When the weather is bad, sit down and read, improve your mind. See your being unemployed as a chance to do other PRICELESS things for yourself after having worked such a long time and contributed your share to the society you live in!!! Furthermore: try and do something for other people, things that cost time: hardly anybody has time to spend upon other people...

I hesitated between writing a separate message to our friend Baldvin and between putting my reply to him here underneath my photo and I chose to leave it here, because I wanted other people to read it. And so you read it too, and others will follow Scarlett. We live in a society that wants us to believe that happiness is for sale, and deep and bitter disappointment follows far too often after having bought something that promised to make us happy. Happiness is a state of mind, it cannot be bought, it can be achieved. It has a lot to do with being content, being in balance and staying in balance whatever happens to us... Then there is nothing wrong with buying a nice thing from time to time, pleasing the eye, which might as well be something second hand bought in a flea market!!!
