On July 8, 2007 my good friend Lenie and I made a 95 km bike trip from IJmuiden/Velserbroek to Amsterdam, Amsterdam North and some of the very rural villages in that neighbourhood such as Ransdorp, Schellingwoude, Landsmeer and others. It was a long trip, nevertheless it was great!!! July this year in Holland was extremely rainy and cloudy, so this was - alas - the longest trip we made during that month...
