Thanks Ander. I made this picture because my grandson always points out this garden when we cycle by, he likes it also very much like you do! This type of garden you see mostly in France, but also in Holland in 16th, 17th and 18th century formal gardens like this were normal. Later on (in the late 19th century) the gardens started to change into the English landscape garden. If you type in Duin en Kruidberg and then click on go, you will find examples of such an English garden by a famous dutch designer.
