Each year festivities are held in October, both religious and profane in honour of San Miguel. I was so lucky to be a witness of both.

From a little church in the Calle San Miguel the yearly procession starts with a chest clad with silver and adorned with flowers and a statue of San Miguel on top. The heavy chest is carried by a lot of men and the carrying around this chest with San Miguel is accompanied by a drum which is hit upon at regular intervals.

One of the San Miguel festivities is a contest for dogs in various categories!
