A festive day in Haarlem on Sunday September 9, 2007

My dear friend Lenie, joins the choir (standing on a boat of course!!!) in the song: That's what friends are for... :)))

The river Spaarne is almost covered with all kinds of boats. During some days they stay there, and a few of them can even be visited.
Furthermore on the right side of the Spaarne you will find all kinds of goods for sale, whereas on the left side of the Spaarne second hand books can be bought.

I am going to fly at 6.15 hours early in the morning on saturday, September 15.
They just informed me this afternoon that my original flight of 11.30 was cancelled, so it is going to be a very short night in between friday and saturday...
And then I stay three - hopefully - sunny weeks to return on October 6! :))))))))))))

Temperatures are indeed dropping rapidly over here, and moreover we had a bad, wet and cold summer.
That's why I am leaving tomorrow fro three weeks in warm, sunny Spain! :)
