i like the use of color! being black and white with a little spark of color really gives a feeling of danger or something. it reminds me of jaws. :)

The reduced saturation of this image is nice; I agree with gcox1, it gives an air of "danger," which is appropriate because the rescue board is right there :). The angle of the sea also adds to the pic's "suspenseful" feel--it looks like the ocean's gonna rush into the land. The exposure on the board is a little bright for my eyes though.
