oops, nearly forgot to take my photo for snack friday before it was eaten!
todays snack (was) Feijoas and grapes. Feijoas are my special treat as they are not very common in the fruits shops around here.

hmmm, very hard to describe -sweetish with that kind of grittiness you have with a pear. I first tasted them in NZ where my friend had a tree....

Feijoa??? I had to laugh at the name as it means a king of beans in Portuguese!!!!! Also the use of "ei" as a sound is very Portuguese....But I sure have never seen that fruit before, looks delicious too.
