Part of the time, they fly lazily; they'll start to land somewhere, then take off. Or just at random, they sprint off straight for a while. They're always silent, by the way. Even their flapping is quiet. I think this is part of their predator-avoidance behavior too. The idea is that an eagle or hawk gets confused with so many pigeons behaving identically, and they can't pick out a victim. | |
