Alden's Fotothing

"Mountain stone" suiseki at the show yesterday. This is from northern California, like almost all the stones there. With a lot of them, I was recognizing their origin from the field, then I realized that the collectors don't care whether it's from the Domengine Formation or whatever. So I said nothing but smiled a lot. This rock is a gorgeous example of brecciated serpentinite, but the important thing is simply that it's gorgeous, period.
