Friar's Cowl
Arisarum Vulgare - Family Typhaceae

(GARNI TAL-PIPI) Herbaceous perennial. Leaves similar to those of Italian Lord-and-Ladies, but smaller. Flower-like bract is pipe-shaped, with green and purplish-brown stripes. Grows in all sheltered habitats which are damp and fertile. Common.

Glad you like it Znacke - this plant is very common in Malta:))
The dark green parts will turn reddish brown as it grows, and the white becomes even whiter, creating a wonderful contrast of colours:))
