Officially it is now called Global Green Challenge, split into the Solar Challenge for solar powered vehicles & Eco Challenge for environmentally friendly vehicles (low pollution etc),
racing from Darwin to Adelaide - it would get very hot in those solar cars, with no air con & luxuries ... more at http://globalgreenchallenge.com.au/the-event
