even though from more distance, i like this one best; the flag... the sky... awesome! could you go onto this ship to view/tour it? there is a similar ship at Pier 39 in San Francisco, the Balclutha, you can go on it and all up and down the decks, in and out of the cabins and the hold, very interesting.

It was only here for a few days, but could be viewed for a fee - I didn't go on board, as I needed to go somewhere else, & never got a chance to return before it sailed. The Balclutha was posted on FT some time ago (maybe it was you or Fleur?), & when I saw it I mistook it for the Polly Woodside in Melbourne ... very similar ships...

yes they are remarkably similar, but now i see not much like the Endeavor at all, so much for my powers of observation ;-()

it must have been fleur, she lives in oakland now where i used to live for many years. i gotta revisit her archives. the interior of the ship, the captain's cabin and dining area, was all very elegant and well appointed, he had a family and there was a children's room, fascinating and somewhat claustrophobic as i recall!
