This hotel & apartment building were the closest residential buildings to the protest, which has since moved to section of the park with no resi buildings.
good series, Steve; our downtown parks were thrashed by the protestors, who were soon joined by the homeless, the addicts and anarchists. just this morning on the radio driving in i heard the list of damages, hundreds of thousands of dollars, which of course now the city is seeking donations to cover... hmmm, wonder who will pay.
Thanks, Steph - I don't think there were enough of them to do too much damage here, but the council did enforce the 'no camping" laws in the end to stop them sleeping overnight. Eventually they will get bored & go home (?)
