A view of the English seaside town of Brighton from the Brighton Marine Palace & Pier (generally just shortened to the Brighton or Palace Pier). Construction of this pier started in 1891 with it being opened to the public in 1899. It is adorned with ornate lamps and intricately cast railings. Brighton is an all year round holiday resort only 60 miles south of London and therefore only an hour's drive away.
