Sacred spring in Chapel Wood near Spreacombe, North Devon (a RSPB reserve). This spring is next to the ruins of a small 2 roomed chapel dating to around 1250. There is also an Iron Age hill fort in the wood - I like the idea that this spring has been important for thousands of years.
The spring is beautiful, it reflects like a mirror and water constantly bubbles up - see the rings in the surface. Best viewed full size.

Looks & sounds like a beautiful place.
I got a thing for ancient history.
This spring probably has been sacred since before the iron age.
You going to invite the Cornish up for a return visit?
