The Long Stone standing stone, East Worlington, Devon. Crosses have been carved in each face presumably as a later attempt to 'christianize' the stone.
Its just over 2 metres tall Marijke. The myths about it state that the Devil dropped it when he heard the local chuch bells, the other tale is that it is impossible to move (luckily for us otherwise it might have been removed!) - even draught horses have failed to move it.
