The three towers are part of Harding's pin-making works (now disused) - the middle one is modelled on Giotto's campanile in Florence (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giotto's_Campanile ), the one on the right is based on the Lamberti tower in Verona ( see http://www.verona.com/en/Guida-Verona/Torre-dei-Lamberti/ ). These towers are not far from a flax mill modelled on an Egyptian temple.
I never knew Leeds was so fascinating!
