A pair of Large Red Damselflies laying eggs at Newbridge, near Bishops Tawton, North Devon. Apparently the male clamps himself on the female's neck so that he can stand tall to keep away all rivals whilst the egg-laying is going on - I had never seen this before but having a picture of it meant I was moved to find out what was going on!
Isn't nature fascinating?
