The statue of Charles Kingsley on the Quay in Bideford on a misty morning. Kingsley (1819-1875) was a famous North Devon author, amongst his books where 'The Water-Babies' and 'Westward Ho!'. The village Westward Ho! was actually named after the book rather than the other way round.
