The 'wonky conker' in the snow on Bideford Quay, Devon yesterday morning. The statue is of the local author Charles Kingsley.

This much-loved tree was saved by local people who climbed into its branches when contractors working for the Council tried to cut it down. Now a local artist has "given it a hand" as it leans to one side.
