Humpback Whale diving, off Tiverton, Bay of Fundy, Nova Scotia.

This picture was taken from a Zodiac inflatable boat which was smaller than the whale - it was quite exhilarating to see the whale so close!

The growths on the tail are organisms that feed on dead skin and apparently cause the whale no harm.
