Grimspound, Dartmoor 2/2: A view of Grimspound late Bronze Age settlement (around 3,000 years old) from Hookney Tor. Some 20 hut circles can be traced within the pound which was also probably used to contain livestock. The 'grim' part of the name often refers to the devil, a number of ancient sites are called after the devil as later people could not imagine who else had built them. Note the typical Dartmoor winter weather - the wind was so strong it near blew me over!

That's truly interesting! I'm glad they haven't built anything on top of that thing. And a very good shot considering you were almost blown over by the wind! :))
