Thanks again Scarlett - this butterfly was in a heated greenhouse which steamed up my lens - it was ages before I could take this picture.

No actually just a macro setting on a regular lens - the butterfly was very obliging! The biggest problem in the steamy, humid environment was the lens getting fogged up. I'm glad you like the picture.

Oh wow! Yess!! Beautiful! Yours is much better than mine! This is a Malachite butterfly. It is native to southern Florida and Texas as well as Central America.
