Star - covered ceiling and rood screen, St. Nectans Church, Stoke, North Devon. St Nectan was a Celtic missionary from Ireland who lived in this area in the fifth and sixth centuries, the earliest church recorded on the site was in 1050, much of the current church is twelfth century.
