"Semper in excretia sumus, solim profundum variat" (We're always in the sh*t, only the depth varies).
Sorry - a very late entry to proverbmonday - Glastonbury Festival 2005, the famous year of the mud. With Glastonbury 2007 only 3 days off (and although I tried, I failed to get tickets this year) I thought I'd dust this one off!
Try original view for the full muddy detail.

You ought to go Carl - don't local residents get preferential tickets?
If I was you I'd go and be tempted to nip home for a shower now and then - its not just the music, the whole atmosphere is really special - plus of course the photographic opportunities!

Couldn't get tickets for this year Dave!
I tried using 3 phones and 2 computers to get tickets in the mad free-for-all ticket booking 'system' but still no luck. They all went in less than 2 hours.
I was sorry to have missed it even if it looked even wetter than 2005.
Definitely go - great experience, I'd recommend it to anyone. I've been 3X.
Top tip - drink Brothers Pear Cider, 7% 'festival strength'!

thanks, we're a bit old for camping, 60's, it's been a few years, my cider drinking days are past, we used to get a friary meux draught out of plastic barrels, it was 10d a pint, shows how long ago it was. It was the Vic in windsor, one night we went there and it had vanished!
