Porto - My birth town

This is the other Douro river bank (left bank). Old part of the "sister" town "Vila Nova de Gaia".
In reality Port Wine should be called Gaia Wine since it was in this bank in this same vicinity that Port wine was and still is stored and aged. Barrels are stored in caves (Portuguese meaning "cellars") before being bottled.

Kurt if you are referring to table wine ... well, yes. They can be very strong. But you also have subtle fine ones in the Douro valley
