Hiving a honey bee swarm.
A sheet lodged under the entrance of the hive then the swarm collected from a tree.
No photos of this process as I was up a ladder & working a camera & knocking a swarm into a bucket at the same time as taking pictures is beyond me.
The bees are tipped onto the sheet & they climb into the hive.
Easy.

~ great photo and information. I am glad your queens have not got that disease that is killing them off. I hope they dont get it too! I was reading about it and some bee keepers are trying to introduce new queens but it may be too late. So good luck with yours! ~

They are at their most placid when they swarm.
& I am no Bee master (If I was they wouldn't have swarmed in the first place).
