Strange world we have.......

War is sad mate, brings out the worst in human beings...

Hmm. Brings too many thoughts and words to mind.

JP, I haven't looked at it in years, every time I pull it out it just gives me a sad feeling.
I think you know what I mean.

I served in the military during peacetime, and really don't know what it's all about to be wrecked by a war. Though I had relatives that served during Viet Nam and WWII, and some who saw or were part of terrible things, they all came home intact, physically and mentally.

I'm glad they all came back intact, mentally and physically.

I have mixed feelings about this lighter. I know some young GI kept it in his
pocket, lost it, or was killed with it on him. I think that's why I don't leave it out.

different times then ... war is never good ... sometimes needed !

That would be great on a headstone.
