How sad...such a beautiful area gone. - unfortunate that no one knew and maybe
could have prevented this...Again, I guess government at work???

They have made a awful job of exposing the power wires ! Perhaps that was the reason Jim ? Interesting entry :)

We have this near to us Jim.. all ready for a new tramway.. hundreds of mature trees gone...mind you.. it does look neater now don't you think...

they really should have informed the public first, even if there was a lagitimate reason your images show just how baren and stark they have made the area, at least we know nature has her own way of regeneration and I'm sure in time to come it will grow and come alive again

It's a shame. But the council must have a permit and report dendrologist for felling of trees and greenery.

The natural and beauty of the trees and surroundings have been taken away.
I'm sorry to see this wonderful area changed in this way.....

As a see it's not only the time of the year ! ;-)

Not the case,this was a nice area to go for a walk and now they have cut the trees down :-((

I agree Barb,further down the path they have cut a tree down that was over 300years old because they thought it might get blown over.!!!

I think they just used them as an excuse Marg !!!

What a terrible shame..is happened near tome too, I know how you feel, I think about all the displaced wildlife.

So sad.... didn't they had anything else to do...?
