Looks a bit like our dining room at present........it also reminds me of one of those early paintings - when they'd first discovered perspective - Giotto?

I know exactly what you mean about the perspective. It also reminds me vaguely of "Pictures at an Exhibition" - which I once saw as a jigsaw puzzle!

yeah, a very frustrating puzzle - does this piece of yellow-and-brown go with that piece of yellow-and-brown, or with this piece of brown-and-yellow?

have you ever seen the children's series of books called "I Spy" - they are filled with pages of photo montages and they give you a list of items to find with each 2-page spread. this photo reminds me of them.

Funny you should say that - there a alphabet book for "grown-ups" - 26 pictures, beautifully illustrated, just crammed with everything one could imagine starting with each letter of the alphabet. I'll have to find it.
