Why is the beach wet so far inland? Does the tide come in and recede that quickly or that far?

I know the tides come up quite high in cornwall. The best person to ask would be my other half gordon. I will get him to look at the photo and comment on it.

The reason the beach is so wet, is the tide here is going out, and as the sand is so flat at that level, the sea tends to take longer to trickle away.
