On the Windward side of Oahu, these’s a place called Wiamanalo Bay, which has some of the best beaches anywhere. The sand on these beaches is almost as fine as powdered sugar, a real joy to walk on. Although the entire area is fairly heavily built up with seaside homes, the beaches here, as everywhere in Hawaii, are in the public domain and accessible to all. Bathrooms and changing areas in this area of Oahu are few and far between, however, except at the few parks by the shore, so you may have to drive home in a wet bathing suit. A small price to pay for a day at one of the most relaxing beaches anywhere on the island.
